Panic buying: Tri-Cities motorists see prices spike, outages and angry consumers across the region, state
Gas lines all over north east Tennessee.
Local and state consumers were in what can only be described as panic buying mode Friday as gasoline prices spiked.
There were reports of long lines at gas stations in Gate City early today as motorists there tried to fill up before the price hikes hit their town. At Kingsport's West Stone Drive Wal-Mart, the adjoining gas station had more than 25 cars waiting to fuel up.
